Plot Formation | 5 Pillars of Storytelling Workshops

Oriented as a series of writing workshops, we explore five pillars of fundamentals in storytelling, different tools to construct them, and space to practice and draft the content. These workshops are free to all who wish to attend, and aim to impart you with the truth that your story is worth telling.

One story begets another and tales spun hardly ever exist in a vacuum, but how does one take those scraps of story that are scattered and thread them together into one cohesive tapestry? How do they connect and how do they unfold into the expression of the truth you seek to share? That’s the “How” that Pantheon Arts seeks to form on the second Friday of Geek Week PDX 2025.

Urbanite hosts a space for us all to plot out something a little different! From common narrative structures of plot creation and contexts behind them to utilizing some literary devices, and even pacing the events of the story to keep people going to the next page… the plot will indeed thicken after this workshop!

This will be our last day of pillar workshops through Geek Week, but not ever. With the many connections we’ve made through the festival, we have met Hosts of our Light, like Urbanite that will also revel in sharing yours. So, join Pantheon Arts as we pull together the different bits that form a plot, and that make this pillar the best to save for last!

We are propping up workshops for the 5 Pillars throughout town this week, one pillar each day over the next five days of Geek Week PDX 2025, and we would love for you to join us!
